Aftercare for an Hifu Facelift in Perth

While HIFU is a painless procedure, it does require dedicated aftercare to prevent hyperpigmentation build-up. Aftercare is almost as important as the procedure itself. Follow these guidelines to care for your skin properly:

  • Avoid the sun. Your skin is extremely sensitive, and extended sun exposure can cause severe damage and burns.
  • No alcohol. After the procedure, your kidneys will be busy managing the breakdown of the fat released by HIFU. Adding alcohol to the mix just makes your kidneys work overtime.
  • Don’t scratch your skin. Your skin may be very itchy in the weeks following your procedure, but it is vital to resist the urge to scratch and to moisturise consistently.
  • Drink lots of water. Water aids in many essential bodily functions, including healing and repairing damage.
  • No hot baths or showers. Hot water can strip your skin of its natural oils. Post-procedure, your skin needs to build a layer of healthy oils to help the skin heal properly.
